Wow That Was Great, I Don't Know Whether To Cuddle With You Or Pay You
Louisiana politician, State Rep. John LaBruzzo might of come up with the next bright idea since slice bread. LaBruzzo is proposing a idea to give every female welfare recipient $1,000 to tie her tubes. LaBruzzo claims there are too many people on welfare relying on the government to step in take care of their kids. He goes on to elaborate that an incentive program like this will counter the rising rate of abortions as well. Critics say the proposal is insane because the idea is racist, sexist, unethical and immoral. It seems critics don't realize that a program like this is 100% voluntary, and will eventually reduce the cost of taxes towards welfare. It's time that someone does something about people producing children they can't afford to take care of. Although this proposal is in the beginning stages, I think with a few minor adjustments individual states might seriously consider this program.

So the $700 billion proposal failed. Talk about scary, this is frightening. The House of Representatives voted 228 to 208 not in favor of the proposal. For the last year people have been complaining about the economy and it's devastating ripple effects. Gas prices won't be the only thing people are concerned with. Next will be the price of food, rejection of college loans, and an even more struggling real estate market. Sorry folks, not even Obama could fix these problems. Which kind of leaves me to believe he'll be the next person to blame if elected President. After all, America needs someone to be an escape goat - and the Bush excuse is getting a tad bit old.

What's up with the obsession with bacon lately. It's going a tad bit overboard these days. It's one thing for people to add bacon to salads in an eager attempt to justify their taste buds, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a whole new generation of bacon ideas that makes my stomach turn which causes an instant gag reflex. There are tons of questionable bacon ideas such as the bacon cinnamon roll, chocolate covered bacon, bacon scallops, bacon dental floss, and how could I forget the infamous bacon martini. Perhaps it's my undying will to become more free spirited amongst the fat and flabby minded people behind these creations. Whatever it is, I'll pass.
....Outside of bacon I have a real strong stomach for just about anything. It takes a lot for something to disgust me.
Final Thought: I'm going to try to play devil's advocate in a meager attempt to understand the selfishness of the Government. The majority of the House of Representatives didn't feel $700 billion was going to restore the economy, in fact they believed the proposal would further damage the economy. Bailing out private corporations isn't always a good idea, because who's to say we won't be back in the same situation next year. Sure if the proposal was passed then tax payers would fit the bill, but what other options do we have at this point? It's scary to think that wiping people's retirement funds, more banks closing, and rising fuel cost all might be attributed to the Government's lack of urgency to fix our economy.

LaBruzzo is proposing a good idea. This will be real convenient for many people that live in the projects and lower class neighborhoods. It is stereotyping and racist...but hey, it's something I would look into considering.
I am glad the $700 billion bailout plan failed. I was 100% against it and it was close.

i was watching cnn maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago and people calling and emailing into 'the cafferty file' were ripping labruzzo a new one. then again, at the time, they made no mention of his offering $1000 to women to get their tubes tied - they only spoke of his proposal to pay men the same amount to have vasectomies.
i see what the motivation for his thinking is, but it's a bit brutish and insensitive. Then again, it's not forcing anyone to do anything they don't want to do - so if you need the money bad enough and you can't stop having kids that are suckling the government dry - more power to you...slut out your reproductive organs for cash.
LaBruzzo will continue to receive backlash for this idea. It's very insensitive and unethical for the government to attempt such a thing, voluntary or not. The crazy part is everyone keeps saying it's racist because their pinpointing blacks. Little do people realize that blacks aren't the only one milking the systems. We have just as many white mothers on welfare with a thousands damn kids. Don't be misled. If they would just put more stipulations on the money they give out, and tightened up the requirements, all this freeloading will change.

i think its safe to say that the bailout had no immediate ameliorating properties, seeing as the stock market all but crashed yesterday.
now they're (they being cnn political and economic pundits) are saying that the bailout was meant not to save the stock market, but to thaw out the credit freeze. So now people can go back to making bad loans, while in the mean time, the international economy is literally FREAKING OUT.
this isn't just an american problem any more. stock indexes worldwide are plummeting in response to our troubled market.
i have no words.
As far as the economy goes......that whomp whomp sound goes off in my head. I don't even want to think of that tragedy it will ruin my week. However that chocolate covered bacon sounds off the chain and I am so serious!! And as far as paying people to get their tubes tied? Can't be serious whats next someone is going to come to their houses to make sure they take their birth control? Silly Shit!! Stop giving money away. I say people that work should get gov assistance you work over 20 hours a week and make min wage or under $10/hour you should get a check ,a link card , and Section 8. People work all these hours and still struggling while some jobless slutbucket is preg with her 5th child and eating steak and lobster. No good!
Intro - Maybe it has a lot to do with me not being a female, but I honestly don’t see the problem in LaBruzzo’s proposal. I could see if it was mandated by law, but it’s not. It’s 100% voluntary! Not only would it save tax payers money, but it would also put a little cash in the pockets of those who need it the most. $1,000 may not be much money to the average house hold, but to someone on welfare it could mean food, Xmas gifts, or even a car.
Angelo – I knew you’d agree with LaBruzzo’s proposal. Think of all the little rats of yours that would be positively affected by the proposal. Not only would they be happy, but the fact there’s no possible chance of pregnancy would bring happiness to you as well.

Becca – After I made this post I did read LaBruzzo is thinking about doing the same thing for men. Sounds like a great idea to me! The more finically irresponsible people practicing permanent birth control, the better it is for the tax payers. But Becca I got one question. What will I watch on TV from now on? With all the welfare recipients collecting checks and not producing babies anymore, what will the Muary show be like?!

As far as your point about the statistics of welfare recipients, you’re right on the money. According to a report I watched on CNN, statistically there are more white people on welfare than black people. So the whole idea of LaBruzzo’s proposal being racist is silly.

I honestly feel that with most Gov proposals they are not always thought all the way thru. This has many flaws. If extra money is need plain and simple : Get a job and education!!! No one cares if your struggling because no one shared that oragsm that lead to your pregnancy. Lazy has so many excuses. If people put the same energy into hardwork as they do fucking ( excuse the vulgarity)this would not even be an issue!! Lets stop rewarding the trif life. Thats all Im saying!!

Im from the hood and I saw this trif life all the time. They won't even go and do it. Some will, but most won't. The ones that really want help will. I guess I'm the only one that understands the phrase "Tough Love".These people get all these handouts and they still ain't made a change. I say the gov limit the help to Healthcare and thats it!! They shouldn't recieve a thing other than that. I bet they would get off their asses!! That money should go elsewhere where it is need like EDUCATION in predominantly black schools and programs directed toward the children so they won't grow up and be trif life. I'm never irrational. I have witnessed both sides of this arguement and to be honest "tough love" is not idealistic it is a tried and true idea. When you graduated highschool and thought you were grown didn't your parent show you tough love like stop buying your clothes and girls gettin your hair done. Didn't it motivate you to get a job and do it yourself? Sure did and yes it is that simple. I didn't make a decision not to have children to turn around and take care of yours. I have MY OWN bills so no I could carless about other peoples children and issues. It a cold world out there and the trif lifers need to get a better taste of it. Sorry, I don't see the correlation. Crime has no race, or social status. So what does black on black crime have to do with public assistance? Last time I checked public assistance provides aid to...well.....wait for it.........wait for it a tad bit more.....the public!. That's right - Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, and even Asians all receive public assistance. Maybe not to the same magnitude, but in essense the Govt. doesn't discriminate.
To Conclude - You've hit the nail on the head on previous topics, but I'm sorry...this isn't one of em.
