I'm Not Arrogant, I'm Privately Challenged

Today I was watching an episode of Dr. Phil that focused on men and their egos. The program immediately had my attention because I have an enormous ego that's usually equally divided between pride and arrogance. While watching the episode a guest on the show made a good point about egos. He said "egos are judged by one's accomplishments, focus, and self drive." It took me years to come to terms with my ego - at times I've been in denial. I use to feel disrespected when my peers would point out how noticeable my ego appeared. Now that hell has frozen over it's totally opposite and I'm more comfortable with my outlandish opinionated comments, unprovoked physical gestures, and even my cavalier nonchalant attitude. However what annoys me the most is when people get arrogance (ego), and the term "conceited" confused. For some awkward reason most people don't take the time to define "conceited" so let me be the professor momentarily....

Conceited - having an excessively favorable opinion of one's appearance, etc....

Now this may be hard to believe, but I've never expressed myself as being physically superior by any means. I think guys who come off to be too concerned about their looks are either metro sexual, or some other form of sexual that rhymes with uuuuugh.......bomo, como, or romo (if you can't guess that, then please exit this website immediately). So for the rest my life there's no more hiding what's prominent - I rather choose to embrace my ego. I'm sure a lot doors will close because of this decision, however I'm sure the doors that remain open are the doors I'm more comfortable with using (can you say "analogy").

I've been looking for new recipes online to brighten my taste buds. I think I found (donut burger) just what I was looking for.

Although Halloween is a couple of months away, it seems some people are getting a jump on things and purchasing their costumes a tad bit early.

Rap star Rick Ross (real name William Leonard Roberts) credibility has come under attack recently when rumors of his former occupation hit the underground rap blogs. It seems Rick Ross used to be a Miami County Correctional Officer back in 1995 before introducing himself as major Drug Kingpin to the rap world. He denies the rumors, but pictures speak for themselves, you be the judge. Video clip is owned by Heaven on Earth, which is owned by Knowledge Born. Update: RICK ROSS RESPONDS TO THE PICTURE.

...Speaking of Rick Ross. Watch this interview produced and owned by my Uncle KB back in 2002 before Rick Ross had any fame, and seemed to be heavily involved in the street life. It's amazing how times have changed. He's no longer the drug abusing, pistol packing, bald fade wearing bastard he appears to be in the video. All jokes aside, we here at LiT are big Rick Ross fans.

Still on the Barack Obama bandwagon? I don't think Dr. Martin Luther King would of been.

Final Thought: With the ego I possess, it's definitely a reminder of how strong and undeniably patient my friends are. Dealing with me can sometimes be strenuous I admit. However my friends both female and male seem to be experts at putting up with my flamboyant like personality. I apologize to all of you who think my intentions are anything more than me being me.

I always thought of Ricky Ross as a "I don't believe you, you need more people" type of chap. He's still a good artist tho.
Didn't know MLK JR was a Republican. But since Republicans were the chief force in ending slavery I'm not surprised.
Eh, I've been called arrogant and conceited. I'll take both. Everyone else can hate it or love it.

Question: Didn't the REAL Rick Ross end up being a snitch???

The media has tried to paint the image that the real Ricky Ross was somewhat of a snitch, but that's not true. He's served close to 20 years in a Federal prison and is set to get out in 2010.

Ricky Ross was one of biggest drug pushers of all time. His nickname was "Freeway" because of all the properties he own right off the freeways of LA. Most of his properties were drug houses, or "look out houses."

Ross has done what no other drug dealer in the modern era of Nigger Shit has done. He's had drug trafficking connections to plenty of dealers in the United States, Iran, and even CIA agents (it's well documented).
There are plenty of books and DVDs about him.

Anyone who wants to be educated on the politics of America in the 80s and the constant fictitious drug war we're fighting - then definitely read up on Mr. Ricky Ross.

I am told that I have a "I don't give a F_ _k attitude. I have been told on many occassions that I have no emotional feelings and never show any in situations-I agree. Men think with their mind and women think with their emotions. I also was told that I speak my mind & have a tendency to hurt people feeling's and I should be a "little" more nicer-and people always look to me for advice and my approval. Now I hardly ever give my opinion or don't comment on. I find myself usually telliing that person "You'll figure it out". So there won't be any "mixed signals" things should always be given in the most crucial and vivid way (Keep it one-hunnid).
-Sorry if I was to blount with my statements but if not now in the future you will respect it a lot more.

Ok sooooo Rick Ross is doing too much in this interview, especially now knowing that he used to be Correctional Officer. Doing a little research I didn’t know he played football, and he later attended the historically black college Albany State University, Didn’t seem like a bad guy to me. Looks can be deceiving, I guess up under all that fat he is a good guy turned bad. Lol and who is the guy giving the interview, he’s wilding in that mop hat…. Doesn’t surprise me that Martin Luther king was a republican. Back in that era the Republican Party championed freedom and civil rights for blacks, the Democrats fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks.
In conclusion...” Get in where you fit in”

From now on I hereby declare that Rick Ross denounce his name and must go by the following....Richard "The Biggest Cop That You've Seen Thus Far" Ross

Angelo - I always thought of you as a humble guy in comparison to me. You seem to be one of the most patient people I've ever met in terms of attitude.

BrittaniMarie - You going pretty hard on Richard Ross, give the poor guy a break.

Matt - Sounds like you’re in denial along with many others. I don’t blame you. Remember years ago when we were listening to Richard Ross in high school? How he seemed like the biggest and toughest guy out there? Well I guess we were right……he was the biggest and toughest cop out there. 2 more points for LAW ENFORCEMENT! WoooHoo!

WHOA-Just watched the Ross interview and I agree with him 100% as far as the little man T.I. I know for a fact that him & Trick fell out before. Why Trick is trying to expose him, is straight jealousy to me. Research indicates that Ross was born in '77. That means he was at least 18 years old (which is a requirement for for Miami Correctional Officers).
Him being a C.O. back in the day, does that really discredit him for being a rapper-now? His first album "Port of Miami" overall was horrible. He did his thing this year with "Trilla" and it's one of the best albums out-Thus Far.

I know plenty of correctional officers that got a lot of they connects in the pen at work........All you need is a hook up and an expunged record....think about it!!! but anyhoo the male ego.. Is ones down fall because one thing about an ego it can be easily bruised!!! Arrogance also. I have met my share of arrogant men and to be honest the easiest to belittle... WHY? Because they spent so much time building themsleves up they can't phantom that they are not that great.. Ego is a downfall. Why men start wars and the very foundation of the ills of society. Just for a lil ego stroke!! Tragic!!
