Side note: I can't begin to explain the impact Don Imus has had on my political knowledge, and diversity amongst the massive airwaves of conservative media. For the past several years I watched and listened to his highly popular, nationally syndicated radio show. A radio show that in my opinion was one of the greatest of it's kind. While others were entertained by meaningless dance music on the radio, I listened to interviews with Imus & Barack Obama, Senator Kerry, and even Donald Trump. What's sad to me is same people who endorse his firing, haven't seen or heard of him prior to the racially charged remarks he made about the Women's Rutgers Basketball team. It's just more proof that our society is fueled by hypocrisy and the unwillingness to acknowledge a mistake. Although I was embarrassed as a fan, I acknowledged the fact that he made a mistake, and he's simply a shock jock with a sometimes questionable humor. Not once in the past when I argued in defense of Don Imus did any of my peers or coworkers bring up anything positive to say about Imus. For example; the fact that he has endorsed many African American political figures such as Harold Ford Jr. & Kinky Freeman , or the fact that he has a ranch for kids with cancer which also provide medical assistance to African American children as well as other races. Point blank: Imus is back, and here at LiT I endorse the decision to keep him on the air. You don't like it? Kick rocks!
Don't get me wrong, I usually don't like to pick on Destiny's Children but will somebody tell Beyonce to keep her legs closed?
It appears Russel Simmons keeps a nice accessory.
Wonder what's Genuwine been up too lately? Apparently the multi platinum selling artist is now performing at bachelor parties. Looks like somebody didn't invest in a "back up plan."
I took the train today to take care of some business downtown. While on the train I bumped into an old high school friend of mine. He recently just got out of prison, and unfortunately it seems the rehabilitation process didn't take it's place. We talked about everything from future plans to the current state of our mutual high school friends associates. Since high school I've kinda distance my self from him and many others, so naturally we had a lot to catching up to do. After listening to many of his stories, I couldn't believe how many negative transitions so many of my old pals made. Statistically the average African American male in an urban city environment is suppose to die or be sent to prison by the age of 25. When looking at the picture below that statistic is proven to be correct. Many guys below are either locked up, on parole, or even dead. After doing a head count more than 50% of the guys below have had children by the age of 19. I guess with every life lost, theres a new one created.

Looking at that picture I only see 4 people doing something productive in their life. That's me (next to Steve Highlighted hand), Steve, Devan and Ricky. The same dude you see on the train calls me like a week prior to that and attempted to make plans of a reunion. Another one of them (same click) goes to the mother of my child's job and turned out a beneficial favor for him and abuse it. I didn't want her to even acknowledge them dudes because they are obstacles and they are not building blocks. He did not disrespect her, he just have that high school mentality at 23 years of age. WE really don't have time for those childish acts. It's not that WE changed, it's just that WE grew up. I was telling someone about a week and 1/2 ago that I haven't changed. I have not, nor will I. I can only grow. You can't stop growth and I somewhat broke it down but this person says that I haven't changed (and SHE'S right). I left it alone because everyone's entitled to their own opinion. How could someone know me when WE really don't talk??? I don't speak much about my goals and the things I'm doing to outside people (only my guys and Family will know that). I say to this person-Living off the past on negative thoughts will keep that burden and anger in you until you are OPEN enough to grow and reflect about the positivity things that was done in order to advance. If I forgot the past, Why can't you....
